POLAND - GIMNAZJUM IM. JANA PAWŁA II W CZERWONAKU
ADDRESS: UL. SZKOLNA 1
CITY/TOWN: CZERWONAK
REGION: WIELKOPOLSKIE
WEBSITE: http://www.czerwonak.top2.pl/
Jean Paul II Junior High School is situated in the Wielkopolska region in the western part of Poland.
The exact location of the school is Czerwonak – a small village sprawling along the Warta river. There are about 200 students attending this public institution. They either live in the nearby area or are transported from the surrounding villages. Teachers have been trying to involve the students in getting to know other countries by means of eTwinning projects as well as a students’ exchange with Germany. The need for such experiences for the students is great.
Moreover, the cooperation with other European countries and focusing on the environment is of great importance to our school. Owing to this project, we would like to raise the young people’s awareness of some crucial ecological issues as well as enhance their sensitivity to the world of nature. What is more, the project is to help the kids go beyond their local environments and see their peers living in different places while facing similar difficulties and tasks. In the project we will create the common web page.
